About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Product Management Underwriting Performance in the Excess & Surplus/Specialty and Commercial Lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the transformation of product development, governance, and delivery within the insurance industry. This role is pivotal in providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the effective execution of product management activities, including product governance, forms management, regulatory filings, and product maintenance. The VP will also be accountable for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and speed to market. Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in product management and related functions. Professional insurance designations are also preferred. The role requires a deep understanding of insurance product construction, regulatory requirements, and a proven track record in driving operational and process improvements. Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a large team and work effectively with cross-functional leaders. The VP will be expected to champion the adoption of technology and AI solutions and to create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the product management organization.
