Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Renal Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia Start Date: September 14, 2026 Location: Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:5-6 patient ratios, every other weekend required, floating within facility as needed based on scope of practice Highlights: Renal Medical-Surgical unit serving adult to geriatric patient population with 49 beds and average daily census of 48 Epic EMR system required; Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols utilized Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, lift teams, rapid response teams, and interpretation services No call requirements; holiday coverage expected per assignment period guidelines Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed per contract; all time off must be finalized at submission First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience Requirements: Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license required at time of submission) Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; renal medical-surgical experience preferred Epic charting system experience required Experience with 1:6 patient ratios Proficiency in skills including blood product administration, central line management, chest tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, IV therapy, insulin administration, PCA pumps, and isolation precautions Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Full compliance documentation required; all items must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity renal medical-surgical environment with robust interdisciplinary support and advanced clinical resources.
