CastlePierce is in growth mode and is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Accounting and Finance department. This position is responsible for employee and customer-related accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records. The Staff Accountant will also assist with month‑end close, fixed asset accounting, annual audits, and provide support across the organization. With a focus on speed to market and a strong family culture, our employees work in a friendly environment dedicated to growth and success. Due to our collaborative work environment, this is an onsite position. What will I do in this role? Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s financial reporting and general ledger structure. Utilize the ERP and financial systems, ensuring accurate integration of customer and employee data. Manage and process all functions related to Accounts Payable, including processing invoices and managing weekly check runs ensuring proper timing of payments. Process cash receipts in a timely manner. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Support the credit review process for new customers, including monitoring balances and assisting with collections. Provide financial information and reporting support to internal teams, including leadership, HR, sales, and account management. Maintain fixed asset records for financial reporting and tax purposes. Work with team to develop a cash forecasting tool to better understand availability of cash and cash flow projections. Assist with financial analyses, reporting projects, and special assignments as needed. Provide backup support for accounts receivable functions. Participate and contribute to annual budget and forecasting. Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations. What do I need in order to be successful in this role? Strong written and verbal communication skills. Clear understanding of GAAP and the ability to maintain and enhance the system of internal control. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Strong detail orientation, analytical and organizational skills.
