Labor & Employment Associate Attorney – Mid-Level
Direct Counsel is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with 3–4 years of experience to join a nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in Milwaukee or Madison.
The ideal candidate will have experience across a broad range of labor and employment matters, including:
Employment litigation, including discrimination and wage & hour matters
Employment advice and counseling
OSHA matters
Traditional labor matters
Day-to-day employment matters
Restrictive covenants and related expedited relief and litigation
Discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
Settlement conferences and negotiations
Experience with deal due diligence is also preferred. Candidates should have strong legal writing skills and experience handling matters in both state and federal courts.
The successful candidate will be team-oriented, personable, and able to thrive in a busy, collegial environment. Strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and demonstrated client relationship and business development abilities are highly valued. The attorney will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative practice group and support matters across offices nationwide.
Requirements:
3–4 years of labor and employment experience
JD from an ABA-approved law school
Active membership and good standing with the Wisconsin Bar
Strong academic credentials
Strong legal research, writing, and litigation skills
Experience with discovery, motion practice, and court filings
Locations: Milwaukee, WI or Madison, WI
Experience: 3–4 years
Salary: $260,000–$310,000, depending on experience, education, internal equity, and other factors
