Systems Business Analyst - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Systems Business Analyst – Remote position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in San Diego, CA. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity. Pay range: $66.10 - $76.10 per hour As a Systems Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping clarity early in the delivery lifecycle. This position sits at the intersection of business needs, system behavior, and delivery execution, where you will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements to ensure teams begin work with a shared understanding and clear outcomes. You will operate within the Enterprise Business Analyst Community of Practice (EBACoP) to Client, structure, and validate requirements across the enterprise. Responsibilities: Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT partners to surface business goals, constraints, risks, and success criteria Facilitate the creation of story maps or process flows to establish a shared narrative of the end-to-end user experience Translate shared understanding into standard artifacts such as User Requirements Specifications (URS) and Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) Transform requirements into high-quality, Jira-ready epics and stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria Manage and assess the impact of proposed changes to requirements, ensuring traceability from business intent to implementation Apply quality checks and lightweight governance to requirements artifacts to reduce rework and delivery risk Support user acceptance testing and assist with change enablement to ensure solutions meet business needs Act as a steward of EBACoP standards, coaching peers and contributing to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices Requirements: Proven experience as a Systems Business Analyst, operating at a staff level Experience in facilitating stakeholder discovery sessions and challenging assumptions to clarify needs Skilled in creating persona-driven, outcome-focused story maps and process flows Ability to translate business needs into formal URS and FRS documentation Experience enabling agile delivery through high-quality backlog items in Jira Strong understanding of change management and impact analysis for requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) Knowledge of Java is a plus Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
