Food Service Intake Specialist (Bilingual) Job Category: Food Service Requisition Number: FOODS001496 Posted: July 2, 2026 Type: Full-Time Work Setting: On-site Location: Main Campus 1501 Las Vegas Blvd N Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA Position Summary: The Food Service Intake Specialist‑Bilingual assists with the day‑to‑day operations of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada’s Food Division (Food Pantry and Dining Room). This role focuses on cultivating and consistently reinforcing a Guest Service culture anchored with dignity and respect for all Guests, Volunteers and Staff. Enter admissions information into HMIS and internal database Convey information to guests in both English and Spanish Maintain HMIS and SAMS databases for compliance, as required Complete required daily, weekly and monthly reports accurately and on time Audit new guest paperwork and correct errors Complete all admission paperwork and file in appropriate boxes Assist with assignments of Volunteers and track Volunteer hours Provide premier guest service, including greeting guests and answering questions Possess ability to transact sales and exchange money accurately including debit/credit cards and cash Participate in dining special events and sponsored meals on holidays and special occasions Instruct clients on the protocol for amounts of food allowed Report any maintenance issues to the area supervisor Scan, file or copy food service documents Answer phones and complete all clerical tasks Work in all areas of the food division as needed (Food Pantry, Dining Room and Kitchen) Protect confidential information, company property and electronic data; comply with safety rules Other related duties as directed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills; respect human dignity and ability to work with diverse populations Read, write and perform simple math calculations Working knowledge of available community services to meet client needs Knowledge of all Agency policies, including safety Customer service experience highly preferred Ability to readily communicate with clients and co‑workers Computer knowledge in Excel, Word; experience with HMIS preferred but not required Capable of diffusing difficult situations with a desired positive outcome Possesses a valid Clark County health card Flexible schedule to work after regular business hours, weekends and holidays Qualifications: High School Diploma A positive attitude and ability to work with a wide variety of people Knowledge of Office Suite programs, internet, and web‑based email, as well as software and technology typically found in the workplace Physical Requirements: Ability to operate and use office equipment, especially computer, keyboard and mouse Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., push up to 200 pounds on a push cart, and walk 20‑degree inclines with or without assistance Ability to sit for duration of shift, walk frequently, bend, and reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance; employees will be required to stand, sit, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp and navigate safely within all environments commonly found within the Food Services Division Salary: $18.00 per hour.
