Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Location: Birmingham, AL (Onsite) Our client is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day to day accounting functions of the organization and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting. This role works closely with the accounting team to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger and Month End Close: Assist with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. Prepare journal entries and support month-end, quarter-end and year end close processes. Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals. Assist with customer invoicing and monitor outstanding receivables. Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules. Support preparation of budgeting and forecasting. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 1 years of accounting experience CPA or progress towards CPA preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
