Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs of clients and developing tailored treatment plans.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.

• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with fellow healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and client-centered care.

• Maintaining up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care.

• Participating in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a spectrum of mental health challenges. This role demands empathy and cultural sensitivity, allowing you to establish rapport and provide effective interventions tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and understanding of relevant technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, on top of a generous benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan with matching contributions, paid parental leave, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and more.
