Please note: This is a permanent, full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits will be discussed during the interview process. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately into the pharmacy computer system
- Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness
- Sustain hospital formulary and promote rational drug therapy selection
- Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients
- Assist with clinical services: drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing, and other programs
- Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely
- Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions
- Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team

- Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
- Education: B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
- License: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy required
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; will also accept candidates with PGY1 completion
- Strong team player with a desire for long-term growth
- PGY1 or hospital experience highly preferred
