Supervisor, Intensive Family Preservation *$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS* Full Time Management Main Building, New Britain, CT, US Salary Range: $62,000.00 To $72,000.00 Annually Function Under the direction of the Director of Intensive Family Preservation, supervises all therapists in the program in the provision of short term, intensive in-home, strength-based interventions for families with children ages infant to 17 who have been exposed to abuse and/or neglect such as but not limited to unmet mental health needs, parental substance use, and intimate partner violence. The program provides case management, parenting education, advocacy, coordination and linkages with community providers, attainment of basic needs, and 24/7 access to coverage for crisis intervention. Typical Duties Supervises In-Home Therapists to include rotating on-call responsibilities for client accessibility 24 hours, 7 days a week, and regular case consultation to ensure maximum quality of client care. Oversee the administrative assistant. Provides extensive, two-hour weekly supervision with each therapist for case plan review, timely documentation, and case management updates. Co-facilitates group supervision/staff meetings on a bi-weekly basis as directed. Accompanies therapists to home visits on difficult cases as needed. Provides case coverage when assigned therapist is not available (i.e. out sick, vacation or leave). Assists in coordination with DCF Enhanced Service Coordinator to ensure referrals are continuous in an effort to meet annual contractual expectations. Will maintain regular contact to discuss referral process, issues or concerns. Directs client intake process, reviews referral and related information, and assigns cases. Attends all DCF case progress summary meetings on a monthly basis. Assists Director of IFP in the development of ongoing staff training and training materials. Attends IFP Statewide meetings and shares statewide issues and concerns with the Director of IFP. Conducts regular utilization reviews as directed utilizing Credible and PIE (Provider Information Exchange). Assists in the hiring of qualified personnel, evaluates employee performance, makes recommendations for praise or performance improvement, and ensures staff retention through team building activities throughout the year. Assists in data collection and program evaluation efforts by completing RBA measures quarterly. Serves as a designee in the IFP program if a client scores moderate or high for suicide risk on the C-SSRS Screener. Assists IFP Director to supervise program interns, providing assignments, completing evaluations, and other required paperwork. Attend SIFI training. Use of capabilities is characterized by a commitment to the strength based, family focused philosophy and by skill and understanding in the supervision, development, and motivation of in-home therapy staff. Training Must complete 5 hours of professional development in addition to the required trainings each calendar year. Authority In the supervision and control of the staff of the Intensive Family Preservation Program, and of assigned clients, authority is full and clear, subject to the limits of recognized sound professional principles and practices, agency policies, procedures and budgets, and the directives of the Director of Intensive Family Preservation. Education/Experience Requirements/Other Requirements Licensed Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Services, or related field, plus 2-4 years of social services experience. Supervisory experience and experience in providing home-based services preferred. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
