Job Description Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in consulting engineering and project management for our DC Metro office. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. The successful individual will work closely with our business development team and other discipline leads in developing technical proposals, take a proactive role in marketing and business development, and help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidisciplinary office. This candidate will provide consulting services directly to clients. Responsibilities Design electrical systems for industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal government, and commercial projects. Manage and design multiple concurrent projects. Interpret technical drawings and lead design team efforts. Manage project team for budget and schedule control. Develop fee and qualification-based proposals. Conduct marketing and business development activities. Qualifications 10 to 15 years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required). Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software. Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and other electrical codes and standards. Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Project Management experience and/or certifications. Ability to travel. Compensation and Benefits Approximate base salary $120k-170k based on experience. Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate. Competitive end‑year discretionary bonus based on company, team, and personal performance.
