Adjunct faculty positions provide quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Teaching sites may vary, depending on the Wake Tech campus location and/or community sites according to the class schedule.Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):Prepares instruction that reflects appropriate learning objectivesConstructs classroom materials that support the goals of the coursePrepares thoroughly for each instructional hourInstructs and guides the class in an energetic, efficient, and effective mannerDevelops a schedule of instructionRemains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technologyMaintains accurate records of student work and attendanceMaintains a safe and orderly learning environmentUses formative and/or summative assessment techniques to improve learning and teachingDesigns traditional and/or online curriculumMaintains communication with course committee instructors and participates in instructional discussionsGrades and returns student work in a timely mannerCounsels students regarding their grades and progress in the courseSupports the Department, Division, and College goals, providing requested data in a timely mannerQualificationsQualifications:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communicationDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staffExcellent communication skills both written and verbalExcellent presentation skillsExcellent organizational skillsEffective time managementWorking knowledge in one or more subjectsRequirements:Three years of related work experienceAssociate's degreeAs an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
