Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercise regimens, providing hands-on assistance to promote proper technique and enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes and communicating insights to therapists to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Manage therapy equipment and maintain organized workspaces to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patient care.
• Educate patients on injury prevention techniques and post-treatment exercises to promote sustainable health outcomes.
• Assist in patient scheduling and follow-up to optimize treatment timelines and patient flow within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients ranging from young athletes to older adults recovering from surgeries. The diverse set of challenges faced by our patients, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management, requires a PTA skilled in adapting treatment modalities to meet varied patient needs effectively.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent program.
• A current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with outpatient orthopedic cases, is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working with rehabilitation technologies or therapeutic modalities.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems to manage patient data efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges between USD 55,000 and 60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
