Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our hospital facility in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, where you will collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Our center features modern treatment rooms, therapy equipment, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere. The position offers a structured schedule of Monday to Friday, with flexible hours (either 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM), and you will benefit from a no-weekend policy. Additionally, we offer the possibility of four 10-hour shifts, promoting an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises including strength training, flexibility work, and functional mobility tasks.
• Utilize modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation as directed to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring that treatment objectives are consistently met.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment and manage all therapy equipment to ensure safety and readiness for therapeutic interventions.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding their exercises, home care strategies, and preventative measures to foster long-term health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain disorders, and general musculoskeletal conditions. Your role is crucial in helping patients, ranging from young athletes to older adults, regain their independence and achieve their mobility-related goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Active and valid PTA license in the state of Florida.
• Candidates must maintain their professional licensure according to state regulations and continuing education requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective teamwork and patient interactions.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior exposure to orthopedic rehabilitation strategies and therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems for documentation and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 55,000 to 60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level. In addition to salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
