Work Environment

This full-time position is predominantly onsite within our hospital facility, allowing you to work directly with patients in person. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a great work-life balance. You will be part of a team that includes licensed physical therapists, rehabilitation aides, and administrative staff, all of whom share a commitment to exceptional customer service and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized therapy programs for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions.

• Provide direct patient care by leading therapeutic exercises and activities, as well as assisting patients with mobility and rehabilitation techniques.

• Regularly monitor patients' progress, documenting improvements and changes in their condition, and relaying relevant information to the supervising therapist.

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment prior to sessions, ensuring that everything is clean, safe, and conducive to therapy.

• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to be practiced at home, enhancing their recovery journey and overall well-being.

• Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing patients' concerns with empathy and professionalism to ensure a positive experience.

• Maintain productivity standards in line with departmental goals, contributing to organizational success and eligibility for performance-based incentives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Senior Physical Therapist Assistant will primarily involve working with patients dealing with a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will also be involved in therapies that guide patients who face balance issues, mobility impairments, or neurological concerns. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related health science field.

• Florida State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of recent experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, we also encourage applications from new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic treatment environment. Having experience in vestibular rehabilitation or prior work in a neurological or orthopedic center will be viewed favorably.
