About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and develop our HR function as the company continues to scale.

This role will oversee the Human Resources Department and play a key part in developing and implementing HR strategies that support business objectives, maintain compliance, attract and retain top talent, and foster a high-performing workplace culture.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who can operate strategically while also managing the day-to-day needs of a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with company goals and organizational growth.
• Lead talent acquisition initiatives, including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Oversee employee orientation, performance evaluations, performance management, and training and development programs.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with applicable employment and labor laws.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations, OSHA requirements, workers’ compensation policies, and other applicable workplace regulations.
• Manage benefits administration and payroll processes, including coordination with systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, workplace issues, and organizational changes.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and employee development.
• Lead and support change-management initiatives as the company continues to grow.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and overall employee experience.
• Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees across the organization.
  

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources , preferably in a management or HR leadership capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
• Experience with HR platforms such as ADP, BambooHR, Workday, or similar systems .
• Strong understanding of employment and labor laws, workers’ compensation, and workplace compliance requirements.
• Experience with recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
• Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting strategic planning, change management, and organizational development initiatives.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate employee records.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization.
• Ability to reliably commute to our Great Neck, NY office and work onsite.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience within financial services, lending, fintech, or a related industry.
• Experience working in a rapidly growing or entrepreneurial organization.
• Experience with organizational design and workforce planning.
• Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience implementing or improving HR systems and processes.
