divh2Open Job: SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Manager/h2pLocation: Cleveland, Ohio, United States/ppBase Salary: $115,000 to $135,000/ppIndustry: Manufacturing Production/ppWhat Youll Do/pulliSupport the implementation of SHE and management systems to ensure environmental regulatory compliance and company SHE programs at Cleveland facility. Duties will encompass a variety of SHE areas./liliManage compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Performs SHE inspections as required./liliDetermine priorities for safety and health investigations in the companys diverse work areas and make assignments accordingly./liliDetermine sampling priorities for the institution and request the necessary budget resources to accomplish goals./liliDevelop and recommend appropriate engineering or work process modifications to prevent worker illness or injury. Provide follow-up assessment of recommendations./liliAdminister company UA Employee Health Safety Environmental management practices under the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000 Standards. Administers dispensary services./liliDevelop reports and recommendations independently./liliAssist other employees in developing reports and recommendations./liliParticipate in interdisciplinary team to discuss multidisciplinary approaches to resolving safety health issues./liliMake recommendation with respect to equipment purchase, engineering controls, workspace planning and work process planning./liliCommunicates with regulatory authorities, as required./liliDetermine training needs and independently develop new programs as necessary./liliOversee training development and delivery. Also, acts as internal training resource as required./liliReview IH sampling strategies and results. As needed, assist in development of strategies and interpretation of results./liliServe as expert consultant for safety issues within the organization./liliRecognize injury and illness trends within the organization and work to address these./liliWork with Operations, Risk Control and other departments to reduce occupational injury and illness./liliDevelop and implement policies, procedures and program with input from Regional SHE Director and Director of Cleveland Operations./liliProvide input to engineers and management for development or improvement of engineering controls./liliContribute to the design of new facilities where hazardous materials will be used or hazardous processes will be located./liliWork with Facilities to develop new safety committees or take leadership role in enlarging the focus/scope of the safety committees activities./liliPrepare reports to management on investigations and evaluations of safety, health or environmental management issues./li/ulpWhat Makes You A Good Fit/pulliBS in Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline./liliWorking knowledge of Federal and State SHE regulations. CSP certification desired./liliProficient in OSHA Process Safety Management./liliAbility to work effectively with the SHE team and operations management and staff./liliAbility to solve broad range of complex problems./liliAbility to utilize approaches that require innovation and change./liliExperience in emergency response and incident command training and implementation./liliWell-developed planning and organizational skills including the ability to work independently, prioritize activities, meet commitments, and proactively manage time and generally manage travel and a challenging workload./liliIncorporates business risk in analysis of alternatives. Understands cost versus benefit analysis./liliStrong networking skills.
