Spring 2027 Co-op, Business Process Excellence, HR Transformation

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a graduate student for a six-month co-op supporting HR transformation and business process excellence initiatives. The role involves tracking service performance, driving continuous improvement, developing process documentation, and collaborating with HR stakeholders to enhance employee service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Track HR service performance against baseline and business case goals; prepare weekly progress reports
• Maintain prioritized backlog of process issues and improvement ideas; follow up to completion
• Develop job aids, process guides, FAQs, and checklists; use AI tools for communications and rollout support
• Lead working sessions with HR stakeholders to resolve assigned issues and measure improvement results
• Gather and analyze process data and stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, or Business Process Management
• 3+ years full-time professional work experience prior to graduate school
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement from analysis through implementation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and regular use of generative AI tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder relationship-building skills
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
• Available full-time, 40 hours weekly, January–June 2027
