Workday Extend Developer

Immediate need for a talented Workday Extend Developer. This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Berkley Heights, NJ / Marietta, GA (Onsite). Pay Range: $65 - $73/hour. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance Workday Extend applications to meet defined business requirements
• Build, support, and troubleshoot integrations using Workday Studio, APIs, EIB, XML, and XSLT
• Develop and maintain Workday Reports supporting operational and business use cases
• Participate in end-to-end SDLC activities, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Work directly with end users and business teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions efficiently
• Follow Workday best practices for security, performance, and maintainability
• Provide production support, issue resolution, and documentation during the contract term

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: Workday Studio, Workday Extend, XML and XSLT, SDLC.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Extend development
• Strong experience with:
• Workday Studio
• Workday Reports
• EIB
• APIs
• XML and XSLT
• RaaS
• Solid understanding of Workday integration architecture and enterprise systems
• Experience delivering solutions in an SDLC-based or Agile environment
• Proven ability to collaborate with business users and technical teams in a fast-paced environment
• Software development experience using Python, Java or C#
• Experience with Workday Orchestrate
• Prior experience supporting production Workday environments
• Familiarity with enterprise security and data governance standards
• Focused on hands-on delivery and execution
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up
• Strong communication and documentation skills required
