Emerald Valley PT is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Doctor of Physical Therapy to join our dynamic team at our orthopedic outpatient clinic located in Pensacola, Florida. In this full-time role, you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse clientele, including athletes and adults coping with various musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding patients from their initial injury dates through postoperative rehabilitation and into the management of chronic conditions.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Pensacola. The clinic is designed to foster teamwork and patient engagement, featuring advanced therapeutic equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. You will engage directly with patients in individual treatment rooms as well as in larger rehabilitation areas, allowing for both privacy and community in recovery. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while delivering quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish baseline capabilities and needs, tailoring treatment goals accordingly.

• Develop and implement comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans utilizing a multifaceted approach that includes manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and cutting-edge modalities.

• Carefully monitor patient progress, documenting outcomes and adapting treatment protocols as necessary to align with recovery goals.

• Educate patients and their families on various aspects of physical rehabilitation, focusing on injury prevention and effective post-care strategies to maximize patient health outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation that complies with both clinic regulations and healthcare laws.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about the latest advancements in physical therapy methodologies and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily treat patients with orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to sprains, strains, post-surgical rehab, arthritis, and sports-related injuries. A typical caseload may involve treating 5 to 7 patients per day, allowing for dedicated time to focus on personalized care and rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy License in the state of Florida.

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, though applicants with less experience who have completed relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

• Strong skills in therapeutic modalities, functional movement assessments, and manual therapy techniques.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic clinic is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
