Located in the beautiful city of Pensacola, our rehabilitation facility offers a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients. The typical work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your core responsibilities will include:

• Directing tailored physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and promoting muscle function and overall physical performance according to established treatment plans.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities, applying diagnostic tests to assess muscular, neurological, and joint performance.
• Administering manual therapy and therapeutic exercises; instructing and motivating patients to engage in prescribed exercises and day-to-day functional activities to foster independence.
• Providing treatments that may include the application of physical agents, such as traction and various massage techniques, to enhance recovery.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, making recommendations for modifications in collaboration with physicians when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their physical mobility. This role encompasses a diverse range of clientele, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, elderly patients needing assistance with mobility issues, and individuals requiring rehabilitation after surgery. Your interventions will significantly impact their recovery journeys and overall wellbeing.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years' experience in physical therapy, with exposure to orthopedic and geriatric patient populations in various settings.
• Strong abilities in orthopedic assessment, treatment design, and patient care planning tailored to individual needs.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and a proactive approach to documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

Successful candidates may also have experience in acute care or outpatient settings and may have undergone specialized training in rehabilitation techniques that enhance recovery outcomes for orthopedic patients. Experience with assistive devices and rehabilitation technology is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Thriving Journey Therapy offers an attractive compensation package, with an annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 120,000, complemented by performance bonuses.
