About the Role
The Company is in search of an SVP, Deputy General Counsel to take on a pivotal role within its legal and loss prevention teams. The successful candidate will serve as the second-in-command, providing day-to-day leadership, management, and execution of enterprise legal and loss prevention functions. This includes a wide range of responsibilities such as ensuring the effective delivery of legal services, compliance programs, litigation management, and contract support. The role also involves acting as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, leading legal support for business growth initiatives, and overseeing enterprise loss prevention and safety strategies. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, be an active member of the bar, and have at least 15 years of progressive legal experience, with a strong background in commercial transactions, governance, licensing, employment law, and M&A or other strategic growth initiatives. Applicants for the SVP, Deputy General Counsel position at the company should possess a JD degree from an accredited law school, be an active member of the bar, and have a minimum of 15 years of legal experience. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leading teams and advising executive leadership on a wide range of legal, compliance, and operational matters. Strong analytical skills, deep business judgment, and expertise in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment are essential. The candidate must also demonstrate strong people leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and the ability to build trust and alignment across various stakeholders are also key attributes for this role.
