RN Med-Surg Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care on the 3 West Comprehensive Medical Unit and occasionally float to other Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. The role requires proficiency in Epic EMR and the ability to read Telemetry. The nurse will deliver patient assessments, medication administration, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience, active BLS certification, and strong clinical skills. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum 3 years recent/current Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR system (no refresher or 1:1 training provided).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret Telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in multiple Med-Surg specialties such as Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation units.
• Strong interdisciplinary team collaboration and communication skills.

Special Considerations:

• Start date limited to September 21st or October 19th unless the RN is a returning traveler within the last 9 months.
• No on-call requirement.
• Competency in Telemetry reading will be tested on day one; failure to pass results in termination.
• Strict requirement for Epic EMR proficiency with no training provided on site.

Scheduling:

• 36 hours per week.
• Day shift with every other weekend required.
