Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel) in Zanesville, Ohio. Start date 09/21/2026 with a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $1,881–$1,951 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., 3x12. Primary assignment on the respiratory care unit with COVID-19 patient population, with occasional float to Med-Surg areas including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. Every other weekend required; no call. Requires Epic EMR proficiency, active Ohio RN license, and BLS. Minimum 3 years of telemetry and/or step-down experience; competency in telemetry reading is required on day one.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on the respiratory unit and supporting Med-Surg areas.
- Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to alarms, and escalate changes per protocol.
- Administer medications and therapies, including oxygen delivery, IV therapies, and routine treatments per physician orders.
- Document care in the Epic EMR with accuracy and timeliness; ensure appropriate nursing documentation and charting.
- Float to Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and other Med-Surg units as needed; provide consistent, quality RN care.
- Educate patients and families, perform discharge planning and care coordination, and promote safety and infection control practices.

Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license and BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of current telemetry and/or step-down experience; ability to read Telemetry; competency tested on day one
- Epic EMR proficiency required (refresher training or 1:1 coaching not available)
- Start date: Sept 21, 2026 (or Oct 19, 2026 for eligible returning travelers within 9 months)
- Availability for night shifts; every other weekend; no call
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission and included on the confirmation page
