Compensation range: $150,000-350,000 depending on experience Company Description Riverside Group is a full-service accounting firm dedicated to supporting financial advisors and their clients with specialized tax and advisory solutions. The firm provides individual, business, and RIA tax preparation, along with monthly accounting and bookkeeping services. Riverside Group also offers outsourced CFO advisory, helping clients with strategic financial oversight and planning. Based in Chicago, IL, the firm serves a diverse client base across the United States, combining local expertise with national reach. Role Description The External Wholesaler is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Chicago Area, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisors and other key intermediaries to promote Riverside Group’s accounting, tax, and advisory services. Day-to-day activities include prospecting new business, conducting sales meetings and presentations (in-person and virtual), and providing product education and support to external partners. The role involves collaborating closely with internal teams to align client needs with firm capabilities, preparing proposals, and following up on leads to drive revenue growth. The External Wholesaler will also monitor market trends, gather feedback from partners, and contribute to business planning initiatives to expand the firm’s footprint. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Wholesale and Sales to build, manage, and grow external distribution relationships. Candidates should possess skills in Finance and Investments to understand advisory practices, tax-sensitive strategies, and client portfolio needs. Candidates should possess skills in Business Planning to contribute to territory planning, growth strategies, and market development. Proven experience in financial services, asset management, or related B2B professional services sales. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax and accounting concepts clearly. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
