About the Organization\nAt Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we are committed to fostering a holistic approach in education that integrates mental health support within a safe and nurturing school environment. Our institution values inclusivity and accessibility, offering comprehensive mental health care tailored to the unique needs of our students. We collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving student outcomes and promoting mental wellness across the school community.
Work Environment\nThis position is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth capabilities to facilitate access to mental health services. Our system supports a flexible work setting that emphasizes collaboration and responsiveness to the needs of our students. Mental Health Counselors may work primarily during school hours, but occasional evening shifts and weekend rotations may be required to ensure students have support when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, incorporating their personal history, current challenges, and risk factors to inform treatment planning. \n
- Collaborate with students to develop and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at enhancing emotional well-being and facilitating successful integration into the school environment. \n
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), structured around identified mental health needs. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering personal growth, emotional resilience, and effective coping mechanisms among students. \n
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals—such as psychiatrists and psychologists—to ensure comprehensive coordination of care and support. \n
- Provide crisis intervention, employing de-escalation techniques during mental health emergencies and making appropriate referrals for more intensive care when necessary. \n
- Educate students and families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources to promote understanding and support. \n
- Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards. \n
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to exchange insights, advance knowledge, and enhance collaborative practices. \n
This role focuses on working with a diverse student body, representing various backgrounds and presenting a range of mental health needs—from anxiety and depression to trauma and behavioral issues. The LCSW will be instrumental in creating individualized support plans that cater to these unique needs, fostering a welcoming environment that encourages students to thrive both personally and academically.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Possession of a current and valid LCSW license, or equivalent licensure (e.g., LMFT, LPC) in the state of Arizona. \n
- A minimum of two years of experience post-licensure, preferably in an educational or mental health setting. \n
- In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies. \n
- Proficiency in performing mental health assessments and creating comprehensive treatment plans tailored to student needs. \n
- Experience in facilitating individual and group therapeutic sessions using various modalities. \n
- Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. \n
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, essential for building relationships with students and families. \n
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining professional boundaries. \n
- \n
- Experience within a school-based mental health team is highly desirable. \n
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and best practices for working with children and adolescents. \n
- Ability to engage with families effectively and provide psychoeducation. \n
The salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
\n- \n
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance. \n
- A retirement savings plan with employer contributions. \n
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay for work-life balance. \n
- Professional liability insurance coverage. \n
- Opportunities for continuing education and professional development support. \n
- Potential for advancement within our organization. \n
- A collaborative and supportive work environment, emphasizing team cohesion and shared goals. \n
