Appointment Coordinator | Imaging Services

Position Overview

This role involves managing scheduling duties for imaging exams, including setting appointments, providing clear preparation instructions, and guiding patients on where to arrive for their exams. The coordinator will handle all phone inquiries with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring all necessary patient information is accurately collected. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to unit safety and infection control protocols.
• Schedule imaging appointments and provide patients with appropriate preparation details.
• Direct patients to the correct locations for their exams.
• Respond courteously and efficiently to all phone calls.
• Identify and prioritize urgent exams for timely scheduling.
• Confirm appointment times with patients through follow-up calls.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience scheduling appointments in a medical clinic setting; radiology experience may substitute for scheduling experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand documents containing medical terminology.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
