MRI Technologist

Work Location: Washington D.C.

Work Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday

A Day in the Life of a MRI Technologist:

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician
• Instruct patients on proper physiological requirements for the procedure
• Prepare patients for exams, administer contrast, and assist at the end of procedures
• Maintain clean, safe, orderly work area and observe OSHA and HIPAA requirements
• Recognize reactions to contrast media and intervene when necessary

Here is what you will need:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology
• Registered in MR within one year of employment
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within 90 days of employment
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
