Requirements
- 3+ years of CVOR experience
- Open heart experience
- Prior travel work experience
- Willing to float to General OR
- Active Michigan nursing license
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (CVOR)
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of surgical patients and develop specific care plans. Implement and evaluate the care plan during procedures, ensuring patient safety is a priority.
- Supervise activities in the operating room, anticipate and coordinate any schedule changes, assemble equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia as necessary, and monitor the sterile field.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, supervisor/manager, and ancillary departments.
- Participate in staff development through educational meetings and seminars for continuous learning and leadership growth.

Compliance / Notes
On-call rate: $9.00 for the CVOR
On-call frequency: 1-2 nights per week
Weekend requirements: Every third weekend
