Aerospace CAD Expert for AI Training

Role Overview

Apply aerospace CAD expertise to help train next-generation AI systems using high-fidelity, multi-part aerospace assemblies. This remote contract opportunity centers on translating real engineering knowledge into precise, objective technical questions, answers, and feedback that support intelligent design tools. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Author objective, non-guessable technical questions about aerospace assemblies that require exact answers.
• Review native FreeCAD files to analyze complex mechanical assemblies.
• Create several high-quality questions for each assembly, covering key features, functions, and relationships among parts.
• Research and deliver clear answers supported by assembly data.
• Collaborate through written communication and occasional verbal discussions to clarify requirements and maintain technical accuracy.
• Ensure questions and answers are comprehensive, relevant, standards-driven, and program-agnostic.
• Contribute documentation and feedback to improve future question sets and project workflows.

Qualifications

• Expertise in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or industrial design, with a strong foundation in CAD principles.
• Hands-on experience with multi-part CAD assemblies and the ability to interpret complex design intent and technical drawings.
• Experience with CAD, technical writing, assembly analysis, documentation, and standards compliance.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or a similar CAD platform. FreeCAD experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to write precise technical questions and answers, ideally in an educational or documentation setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Interest in advancing technology and supporting intelligent design systems.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $40 to $80 per hour.
