CAD Expert for AI Training

Role Overview
Apply hands-on CAD and manufacturing expertise to improve next-generation AI systems through detailed, real-world feedback. Your work will help AI models learn, reason, and produce more useful recommendations for manufacturing workflows. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert feedback on manufacturing processes and techniques, particularly where CAM and CNC workflows are relevant.
- Review, assess, and refine AI-generated content and recommendations related to manufacturing workflows.
- Develop and validate detailed evaluation rubrics for manufacturing process accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with a CAD platform, such as Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, Inventor, CATIA, Creo, or FreeCAD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clear and detailed documentation.
- Experience with Autodesk tools, especially Fusion 360 or AutoCAD, is preferred.
- Experience with CAM, CNC machining, or digital manufacturing workflows is preferred.
- Python proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with AI tools, including LLMs, generative design, or AI-assisted workflows, and comfort evaluating AI output is preferred.
- Experience developing or applying process-evaluation rubrics is preferred.
Work Terms
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Fully remote and open to candidates worldwide.
- Flexible schedule of 15 to 20 hours per week, including the option to work evenings or weekends when needed.
- Work is paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time varies by experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks each week.
Compensation
Expected pay is $50 to $100 per hour, with task-based payment tied to work that meets project specifications.
Availability and Application Process
- Roles are typically filled within 48 hours, so candidates should be ready to begin promptly.
- Apply by completing the role application and screening questions, then complete an approximately 30-minute AI interview followed by hiring-manager review.
- If selected, you will be expected to begin your first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
