As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic university campus, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to community needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.22 - $21.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies across the campus.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and campus grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, requesting assistance when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, identify unusual activity, and document security-related incidents and patrol observations through clear, accurate reports.
• Support emergency response activities and provide directions and/or assistance to members of the campus community.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
