About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Level III Perinatal Care experience; Proven experience caring for high-risk mothers and newborns Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery specialty. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with comprehensive maternal and newborn care. Candidates must have experience with high-risk patients and relevant procedures. Responsibilities include providing care for high-risk mothers and newborns, performing maternal assessments and interventions, and assisting with deliveries. Knowledge in placenta accreta and other critical conditions is required. Nurses will work in a collaborative environment with a charge nurse, clinical resource nurse, and various medical professionals onsite 24/7. Patient ratios are 1:1-2 for active labor and 1:3 for antepartum. Experience with fetal monitoring and labor progression assessments is essential. Nurses will also be involved in post-partum care and immediate recovery for mothers and newborns. Travelers may float to the postpartum care center when necessary. Candidates must be flexible in scheduling and available to work weekends and holidays. All PPE requirements will be provided onsite.
