Overview Position: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (Med Surg Tele) in Rochester, NY. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,817-$1,864 per week. Unit: 20-bed Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit caring for Adults and Geriatrics with cardiac and stroke diagnoses. Orientation: 4 hours. First-time travelers accepted. • Orientation: 4-hour onboarding

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit with cardiac and stroke diagnoses.
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rhythm changes; participate in Rapid Response/Code Team as needed.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy and IV placement competency.
• Support oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and PPE use.
• Operate unit equipment (including Hoyer lifts) and ensure patient safety; document care in EPIC.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Unit Secretary, Transport, Interpretation Services) to coordinate care.
• May float to MS, ICU, or ED within scope and contribute to throughput and patient disposition as needed.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license in hand to submit (or eligible per notes)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
• BLS certification; NIHSS certification noted in posting
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion competency required
• Telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted; ability to work in a hospital MS/Tele setting
• RTO: No holiday RTO; limit to no more than 7 days
• Floating: May float to MS, ICU, ED within scope
• Candidates within 75 miles of the assignment location are not accepted
