Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; activate and collaborate with Rapid Response and Code teams as needed
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and oxygen tanks; manage non-invasive airway support
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy including peripheral line placement, care, and management
• Maintain and enforce isolation precautions in accordance with infection control protocols
• Float within skillset to other units as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Experience in an acute care or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac and telemetry monitoring in a high-acuity setting
