TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Rochester, New York, 14626!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NY License required in hand to submit Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Mandatory competency in phlebotomy Ability to place IVs Description: Registered Nurses need to have mandatory competency in phlebotomy. Placing IVs is a required skill for any RN. This is a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating patients. The unit may experience fluctuations in patient numbers based on demand. RNs must interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Usage of Rapid Response and Code teams is necessary. Knowledge in peripheral line care and management is essential. Nasal cannula and oxygen administration skills are required. Familiarity with oxygen tanks and non-invasive airway management is needed. Following isolation precautions is mandatory. RNs will float as necessary, including to ED holding patients. Rotating weekend coverage is required, with every other weekend scheduled. Previous charge experience is preferred. EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement. The unit serves adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams and respiratory services.
