Representative Role OverviewA leading middle-market investment bank or corporate finance group may seek a Deal Pipeline Strategist to manage, optimize, and strategically develop the firm’s deal pipeline. This role is ideal for candidates who are analytical, market-savvy, and interested in the front-end of deal-making , including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and trend identification.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and prioritize prospective deals, transactions, and strategic initiatives across sectors
Build and maintain a structured deal pipeline, tracking potential opportunities from lead to execution
Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity assessments
Collaborate with bankers and deal teams to align pipeline strategies with business objectives
Prepare strategic reports, market insights, and client outreach materials
Track pipeline metrics, report on deal flow progress, and provide actionable recommendations
Support business development efforts by coordinating outreach and follow-ups with potential clients
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and client-facing purposes
Ability to manage multiple pipelines and projects in a fast-paced environment
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate development, consulting, or business development is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools, and market research platforms
