Senior Accountant

Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 + Bonus About the Opportunity Our client, a growing North American leader in the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. Position Summary The Senior Accountant will be an integral member of the Finance Shared Services team with a primary focus on treasury operations. This role is responsible for daily banking activities, treasury accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting support, audit assistance, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, treasury experience or exposure, advanced Excel skills, and a desire to build expertise within treasury operations. Key Responsibilities Perform daily treasury and banking activities, including monitoring cash balances and processing wire and ACH transactions Prepare, review, and post journal entries related to treasury and general accounting activities Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper account classifications Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation Assist with internal and external audits Compile and analyze financial data for management reporting and compliance requirements Participate in system testing, process improvements, and automation initiatives Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and established procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of general accounting experience 1–2 years of treasury experience or significant treasury exposure Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with ERP systems; manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What Makes This Opportunity Attractive Hybrid schedule with two work-from-home days per week Well-run accounting organization with a highly efficient close process Exposure to treasury, cash management, and multi-entity accounting Growth-oriented company actively expanding through acquisitions Collaborative leadership team with strong tenure and employee retention Excellent work-life balance outside of month-end close Ideal Candidate We are seeking someone who enjoys treasury operations, takes ownership of their work, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
