CNA - LTC/SNF

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated GNA Float to provide compassionate care across multiple units during night shifts. This role involves floating to various departments, delivering essential patient support, and assisting licensed staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Render patient care by monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and recording intake and output.
• Participate in invasive procedures such as PICC line insertions alongside licensed professionals.
• Assist patients with mobility, including ambulation and use of Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and operate EKGs accurately.
• Adhere to strict safety and infection control standards, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
• Support unit-specific needs, including care for patients with respiratory issues, cognitive impairments, or complex medical conditions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Maryland or Compact CNA license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of GNA experience; 2 years for HICU roles.
• Certified in BLS and AHA CPR.
• Demonstrate proficiency in vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, and ADLs.
• Comfortable working in high-pressure environments, with strong organizational skills.
• Capable of floating within hospital units effectively.
