Job Description Billing Representative II - Monday to Friday, Between 7:30AM – 5:30PM Eastern Pay range: $17.20+ per hour Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation. In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything that we do the individuals in this position typically works with Billing Representatives and other employees handling complex billing issues for the purpose of collecting revenue for the organization. Will work with Patient, Client and/or Third Party insurance bills. Responsibilities Responsible for accurately reviewing and applying third party remittance Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments Outbound calls to insurance carriers to reconcile/resolve any issues Familiar with explanation of benefits Always maintain Compliance and HIPPA standard Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics Meet or exceed daily quality standards Perform other duties and functions as assigned Evaluate and response to all email requests for any AR issues to resolve in a timely manner Qualifications Required Qualifications High School Diploma / GED Must be 18 years of age OR older 1-2 years Medical Billing experience Ability to read and translate EOB and insurance correspondence Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years remittance application experience 1-2 years of QBS experience Telecommuting Requirements Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Ability to navigate on internet for research purposes Problem solving, organization and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Communication skills, both verbal and written Soft Skills Ability to navigate on internet for research purposes Problem solving, organization and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Communication skills, both verbal and written 66867 Quest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
