Job Summary

This position is for a well-rounded ED nurse at a facility with a psych holding area in the ED. The role requires floating between the Leominster and Clinton campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Leominster & Clinton campuses as required.
• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including a psych holding area.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5.
• Utilize Epic for charting.
• Adhere to scheduling based on the needs of the unit; absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated.
• Must have flexibility to start four (4) hours prior to scheduled start time or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need.
• Will accept 48-hour shifts.
• Work every other weekend and holiday as required.

Required Skills

• Flexibility to adjust shift start time up to four (4) hours prior to or after scheduled start time.
• Ability to float between multiple campuses (Leominster & Clinton).
• Experience working in an Emergency Department setting, including psych holding areas.
• Proficiency with Epic charting system.

Education Requirements

• Permanent Massachusetts (MA) RN license required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift position (3x12 Hours, 19:00-07:30).
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
• Scheduling is based on the needs of the unit; absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated.
• Must be available to start up to four (4) hours prior to or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need.
• 48-hour shifts accepted.
• Float requirements between Leominster and Clinton campuses.
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed.

Important Notes

• Candidate will be required to take 2 pass/fail tests at orientation for telemetry and medication . Failure may result in contract consequences - confirm details with recruiter.
• July RTO will not be approved unless it is 1-2 days.
• Facility may be able to accommodate a quicker start date, but cannot accept start dates beyond 7/13.
