Data Analyst *

Data AnalystCGI is seeking a Data Analyst to support database and ETL initiatives within a financial services environment. This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL, Columbia, SC. Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $68,300.00 - $86,500.00. Wellness and Well-being programs.Your Future Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe analyst will gather and clarify business requirements, translate them into database and source to target mapping specifications, and collaborate with ETL and development teams to support accurate data loads. This role will also involve documenting business processes, preparing and executing test scripts, querying databases using SQL, and helping investigate and resolve data issues. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, highly communicative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across the software development lifecycle.Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This RoleExperience working throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to translate business requirements into database, ETL, and source to target mapping requirements. Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data. Experience documenting business processes and technical requirements. Experience creating and executing test scripts for database or ETL processes. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Familiarity with testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or HP Quality Center is preferred. Need someone with understanding of Data Security and Data Protection knowledge. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
