Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and contribute to an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, administer medications, perform procedures within scope, and document care accurately.
- Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families; support discharge planning and education.
- Demonstrate clinical judgment to recognize trends in condition and escalate to the appropriate provider as needed.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records; participate in continuing education and clinical quality measures.
- Contribute to a healthy workplace by communicating professionally and collaborating across units as assigned.

Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to float to clinically appropriate units within scope of practice and licensure
- Education: graduate of an approved RN program
- Preferred: Med/Surg or general acute care RN experience
- Unit-specific certification expectations may vary by assignment (examples include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS for emergency/medical units; NIHSS, BLS, ACLS for ICU; NIHSS and BLS for PCU; NIHSS and BLS for rehab)
