About the Role
The company is on the lookout for a Director of AI and Machine Learning to lead the development and execution of a ground-breaking AI strategy in a dynamic technology environment. The chosen candidate will blend hands‑on machine learning expertise with visionary leadership to maximize the real‑world impact of advanced AI capabilities across an innovative product suite. This essential position involves creating and implementing AI and machine learning strategies that align with business objectives, designing and deploying cutting‑edge natural language processing (NLP) and document intelligence models, and overseeing the complete ML lifecycle from data ingestion to model deployment. The Director of AI and Machine Learning will also explore and adopt modern AI methodologies, build and mentor a high‑caliber machine learning team, and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to provide scalable AI solutions.
Ideal candidates should have a solid commercial track record in constructing and deploying machine learning models, particularly specializing in NLP and document intelligence. Proficiency in Python and contemporary machine learning frameworks is critical, along with experience in deploying models in cloud‑based production environments. This role calls for a demonstrated ability to lead and nurture technical teams, a robust understanding of the entire machine learning lifecycle, and the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to various stakeholders effectively. The perfect candidate will be skilled at establishing best practices for model monitoring and performance enhancement, capable of providing both technical and strategic insights on AI opportunities and potential risks.
