Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Conshohocken, PA.Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and accounts payable support. This role is responsible for ensuring vendor invoices are accurately coded, properly authorized, and processed in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Specialist will receive, review, and process vendor invoices
• Match invoices against purchase orders, packing slips, and approval documentation
• Verify pricing, quantities, taxes, account coding, and required approvals
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
• Maintain accurate vendor records, W-9s, and supporting documentation
• Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with payment-related issues
• Monitor AP aging and assist with cash flow forecasting
• As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support month-end close activities, including accruals and AP reconciliations
• Prepare AP reports and supporting schedules
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support audits and provide requested AP documentation
• Assist with process improvements and special accounting projects as needed

Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Costpoint or OnBase required
• Experience with invoice processing, coding, and purchase order matching
• Experience preparing vendor payments and reconciling vendor accounts
• Understanding of basic accounting and Accounts Payable principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to research and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• High-volume invoice processing experience
• Experience with ACH, check, and credit card payments
• Month-end close and accrual experience
• Experience supporting audit and compliance activities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
