Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Days (0700–1930) and Nights (1900–0730) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Medical Surgical / Infectious Disease unit, caring for patients with diagnoses including infectious disease, isolation precautions, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and related conditions
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 (1:4 for COVID patients), working alongside CNA support (2 CNAs per shift)
• Administer and manage IV medications including Heparin, antibiotics, and other standard MedSurg IV medications; no cardiac drips required
• Adhere to strict isolation precautions and infection control protocols at all times
• Monitor patients who may be on CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen (managed in coordination with Respiratory Therapy); no ventilator management required
• Float to other MedSurg units as needed; if floated to a Tele unit, patient assignments will be within the nurse's skillset

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• BLS certification (required and must be current/unexpired)
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Strong working knowledge of Medical Surgical nursing, infectious disease care, and isolation precautions
• Ability to work every-other-weekend; weekend shifts for Days are Saturday/Sunday, and for Nights are Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Infectious Disease or dedicated isolation unit
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring (RNs are not required to read or interpret strips)
• Comfort with flexible scheduling, including potential holiday coverage based on unit needs
