Key Responsibilities As a Human Resources Specialist (Classification), you will: Provide advisory services to the Office of the Secretary (OST) on complex position management issues, including controversial mixed-series/mixed-grade roles and interdisciplinary fields. Conduct desk audits, validate Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) coding, and prepare formal evaluation statements. Collaborate with management during the formative stages of organizational design, recommending courses of action rooted in sound position management principles. Evaluate OST Position Management programs through data collection and periodic reviews. The ideal candidate will possess experience as a strategic influencer with the ability to effectively advise hiring managers gaining their concurrence and acceptance on classification outcomes.
