Medical Assistant Opportunity

Actalent is hiring Medical Assistants throughout Long Island. Locations Available: Amityville, Coram, Shirley, Riverhead. Upstate Locations available as well.

Medical Assistant Diploma Required. Open to entry level candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and ensure they feel welcomed and respected throughout their visit.
• Perform patient intake, including collecting medical history, recording current symptoms, and updating information in the electronic medical record.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and other clinical measurements.
• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and organized.
• Stock and restock exam rooms with medical supplies, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and cleanliness.
• Clean, maintain, and prepare medical instruments, including proper use of autoclave equipment for sterilization.

Pay Rate:

Medical Assistant Diploma: $20.50-$23.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Medical Assistant Diploma WITH NHA: $22-$25.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Amityville, NY.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
