Neuroscience Sales Specialist Location: Durham, North Carolina (includes Raleigh, NC, and the surrounding I‑95 corridor, east Raleigh to the outer banks) Overview Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the Neuroscience Sales Specialist will lead the commercial expansion of Intra‑Cellular Therapies’ CAPLYTA® product line across the designated territory. The role requires deep product and disease‑state knowledge, ethical engagement with healthcare professionals, and the ability to create and execute local strategic and tactical plans that drive sales performance and align with corporate objectives. Job Responsibilities Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned geography through calls to healthcare professional offices and mental health community centers, both in‑person and virtually. Effectively use the assigned budget to achieve territory objectives and allocate resources wisely. Customize discussions and client interactions to address each customer’s needs while remaining compliant and ethical. Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of local market dynamics, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, and share insights with internal stakeholders. Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers and regions. Select and deploy appropriate programs and resources for each customer, practice, and/or system. Collaborate with the Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives. Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities through effective implementation of the strategic plan. Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and share best practices. Maintain timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, sample and expense reporting. Construct a business plan based on the depth and breadth of customer needs, resources, and product offerings. Complete all company and job‑related training within prescribed timelines. Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management or business‑to‑business sales, or recent transition from active‑duty military (3+ years of specialty‑pharmaceutical sales preferred). Preferred launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record. Strong desire and passion to improve patient and caregiver outcomes, with a patient‑centric mindset. High integrity and adherence to the company’s compliance policies and procedures. Self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial drive, strong decision‑making judgment, and collaboration skills. Proven ability to learn and adapt in evolving environments, such as during COVID‑19, overcoming obstacles and challenges. Agility to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments. Data‑analysis skills to assess progress against objectives and identify new opportunities. Experience in establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences. Work schedule may include meetings outside normal hours; territory may require overnight travel and periodic domestic travel for corporate meetings and training.
