Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Security Patrol in East Saint Louis, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Details Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.92 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related issues. Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, assisting with visitor screening, directional support, and adherence to location rules and post orders. Communicate with local authorities, site representatives, and/or Allied Universal teams as needed during incidents, medical events, weather‑related issues, and other unusual situations. Minimum Requirements Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or possess a college degree. Have at least 1+ years of security‑related experience. Be 21+ years of age. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
